It will notify you when new programs are added to your startup, run on your pc, open a connection to the internet and more. Also included is an activity monitor that allows you to diagnose what programs have ran or what files have been added in case of a trojan program renaming itself. It will automatically stop AOL Instant Messenger mini ad and other ad related programs.
The concept of this utility is for you to enable programs as they run. Once you have enabled all the programs you think should run on your pc, you can turn on the "Auto-Disable" under the settings tab. This feature will lockdown your pc and SpyWare SmasheR will automatically kill any new program or disable new startups. This should help protect you against virus's, spyware, adware, or other users accidently running a program through an email and anything else that might crop up in the future.
