For collectors or people how are just interested in Rolex a MUST.5 stars (Great Gift for your Husband) - This review is probably a little unorthodox because I have never actually READ "The Rolex Report". However, I bought the book for my husband for his birthday last month and he just loves it.
He's been into Rolex for a few years now and he owns a couple of them. He's an engineer and has always been the type to educate himself on various topics that interest him. He had been looking for a good book on Rolex and when I came across the Rolex Report I thought it would make a nice gift.
Boy was I right. It's been around six weeks now and I still can't seem to pry it out of his hands for more than ten minutes at a time!! LOL !!! Again, I can't really comment of the contents, but from what he has told me about it this must be one heck of a book.
Come to think of it, he's had his nose burried in that book every night this week so I should probably take a look to see what's in there !!! ;)
Anyway, it was the highlight of his birthday and it has certainly earned me some "brownie points". And who knows, maybe he'll buy me a Rolex for my birthday next month.
For all the ladies out there if your husband owns a Rolex buy him this book!! It'll be the best $40 bucks you've ever spent.

I buy and sell preowned Rolex watches on a daily basis, and I first learned of this book at an NAWCC watch convention here in Pasadena, California. My coleagues consider this the "Rolex Bible" and recommended it to me. I purchased this book over a year ago and I use it all the time.
This book is WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD!!
It is filled with loads of reference information from movements, bracelets, dials, bezels, crowns, tubes, and MUCH more...
The book explaines how to estimate the age of your watch, it explaines the basic features and functions of the various models, and even describes the manufacturing process of Rolex watches.
The 100+ pages on identifying counterfeits (and avoiding eBay scams) is worth the price of admission in itself. But the book doesn't stop there. It also includes a rather extensive chronological history of the Rolex Watch Company, and even histories of the more popular watch models with evolutions and changes over the years.
This book is unlike anything you have ever seen. It isn't a picture book filled with "fluff". Instead its a real down to earth hardcore reference book that will SAVE YOU MONEY on your first Rolex purchase.
I think everyone who is considering to purchase a Rolex should read this book. Basically if you're going to spend $3,000 plus on a wristwatch you should spend a little time to educate yourself on the product. And I couldn't think of a better way to educate yourself on these fine watches.
